The World of Lexica was a 30+-person client project in development at Schell Games; it was to be a narrative-focused action-RPG used in an educational setting to supplement literacy skills. The first self-contained "season" of content was to target middle school students. Unfortunately, the project was ultimately cancelled.

I worked as an intern Game Designer on Lexica, as part of the Side Quest Team.

On the core game, using articy.draft's visual scripting tools in conjunction with the Unity editor, I wrote, polished, and implemented branching dialogue; implemented updates to quest states and the player's journal; and wrote quest text and item descriptions. I also assisted with game testing, bug fixing, level design, designing and implementing combat encounters, and updating documentation.

Below is a completed quest on which I worked.

"Peering Into the Voids" -- Core Game Quest
Further, I independently planned and implemented two fully realized and story-rich quests using the proprietary, player-facing Scriptus editor. These quests were intended to ship with the game's first season, and were to serve as examples of the potential of the Scriptus editor for new users. They are presented below.

"An Orphic Resonance" -- Scriptus Editor Quest
"Sir Archibald Quiverington and the Lost City of Z" -- Scriptus Editor Quest
